Overview
The Women In Technology Uganda (WITU) Digital Jobs Center, though implementing the 10X Program, aims to inclusively skill young women in digital competencies and connect them to the digital economy, specifically targeting financially disadvantaged young women. This comprehensive initiative is designed to empower financially disadvantaged young women, with digital skills and connect them to work opportunities in the digital economy.
Objective: WITU aims to reach 4,800 young women through this program by December 2027 with 3,840 placed in work opportunities by the end of the project, thereby contributing to the overarching goal of relieving poverty and enabling economic growth through the digital economy.
Target Audience: Young Women: Focusing on late teens (18) to (35) age group who are financially disadvantaged; including those from low-income families, rural areas, or underserved urban communities.
Digital Skills Training; is an integral part of our delivery in this program. It is our essential educational initiative designed to equip individuals with the knowledge and competencies required to thrive in today’s technology-driven world. This training encompasses a spectrum of skills ranging from basic and intermediate digital literacy to advanced technical expertise, aimed at enhancing employability, productivity, and innovation across various sectors.
Objectives:
- Empowerment: To empower young women by providing them with the digital skills necessary to navigate and succeed in the modern digital economy.
- Employability: To enhance job prospects by equipping learners with relevant digital competencies that are in high demand in the job market.
- Innovation: To foster a culture of innovation and creativity by teaching skills that enable individuals to create, design, and manage digital content and systems.
- Inclusion: To bridge the digital divide by making digital skills training accessible to all young women, especially to underrepresented and disadvantaged groups.
NB: Persons living With Disabilities and Refugee young women aged
18 - 45 years are strongly encouraged to apply.

Selection/Eligibility Criteria
- Young women aged 18 to 35 from underserved communities.
- Achieved UCE and UACE or an equivalent qualification.
- A university graduate struggling to secure employment.
- Recent graduates who are unemployed and are exploring a career change.
